  Journal of Shandong University (Natural Science) mainly publishes high quality research findings concerning mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology, computer theory, electronic engineering, mechanics, etc., in which mathematics is the strongpoint of the journal, occupying more than 50 percent of the articles in each volume. The most important columns include Advanced Forum of Mathematics which publishes up-to-date achievements and advances in mathematics contributed by some well-known scholars in China and abroad, Information Security, publishing pioneering achievements in the field of cryptograph and information security, Financial Mathematics, which reports new advances in the field of financial mathematics, and Bioinformatics, which covers up-to-date achievements in the field of bioinformatics in China and abroad. These columns are supervised or presided over by CAS members or Cheung Kong Scholars respectively.
