Characterization of (α, β)-derivation on rings with idempotents

Abstract: Let ring A with the unit I contain a nontrivial idempotent P and α, β:A→A be automorphisms. We prove that if δ:A→A is a linear map satisfying δ(AB)=δ(A)β(B)+α(A)δ(B)for any A,B∈A with AB=P, then δ is a(α, β)-derivation.
